Certificate in Cyber Security - January 2014 (First) Intake

This Certificate is directed towards parties working full time and who wants to get a formal qualification in Information and Cyber Security. The Certificate is on NQF Level 5, and successful students will get an official Certificate from the University of Johannesburg. The course consist of 5 modules of 3 days each. Each module will be formally examined and all 5 modules must be passed to pass the course.

Module 1: Introduction to Information and Cyber Security (INCSG5)

Date: 9, 10 and 11 January 2014

Module 2: Introduction to Encryption Techniques (INTENT2)

Date: 13, 14 and 15 February 2014

Module 3: Introduction to Digital Forensics (INTDIG3)

Date: 27, 28 and 29 March 2014

Module 4: Introduction to Malicious Software and Ethical Hacking (INTMSE4)

Date: 8, 9 and 10 May 2014

Module 5: Introductions to Cyber Security Governance, Critical Information Infrastructure Protection, Cybercrime and cyber warfare (INTICS1)

Date: 19, 20 and 21 June 2014

CLASS TIMES: 09:00 - 16:00
PLEASE NOTE ATTENDANCE OF CLASSES IS COMPULSORY AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE NOTE OF THESE CLASSES AND EXAM DATES.
Please refer to the timetable for the scheduled class and examination times. The cost of the certificate is R3500.00 per module payable in advance per module, plus a registration fee and ICT levy of R840.00 (Fees are for 2013. Fees are reviewed annually). A first minimum payment of R3350.00 is payable 5 working days before registration. Students are responsible for purchasing the necessary prescribed text books. This will be about ± R600.00 per module.
