About the student
I am a Computer Science Honours student with strong interests in AI and its applications in healthcare. By experimenting with CNNs, I aim to integrate technology and real-world health needs.
About the Project
My Honours year project is an AI-powered stroke detection system. Using convolutional neural networks (CNNs), it analyses the degree of facial asymmetry on an image, providing a stroke prediction. It uses three different CNN implementations, with varying levels of abstraction and library dependence. All three models achieved high classification accuracy, proving that the use of CNN-based detection is not only feasible but a promising step toward life-saving applications.
