The Problem.

By 2050, South Africa's population is projected to reach 79.2 million, requiring a 50% increase in food production. Currently, over 20% of South Africans face food insecurity, a challenge made worse by factors like load shedding. Rural farmers use greenhouses to improve harvests, but the costs and lack of data make it difficult to optimize growth and compete.

Verdant addresses this by providing a low-cost IoT monitoring system. It gives farmers the meaningful, actionable data they need to maximize efficiency, optimize plant growth, and secure their place in the market.
